About Alex
I am a professional ESL tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, bringing 9 years of experience teaching learners of all ages and proficiency levels. I have worked with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, helping them overcome common challenges in English acquisition while building confidence and fluency. My lessons focus on all four language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—while emphasising vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. My ESL lessons are tailored to meet the needs of learners at all levels, from beginners to advanced. Each session begins with a review of previous material to reinforce learning. We focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills equally. Vocabulary development is integrated through reading passages and conversation. Grammar rules are explained clearly and applied through exercises. Listening comprehension is strengthened using audio clips, videos, and interactive activities. Speaking practice includes role-playing, dialogues, and pronunciation drills. Reading exercises involve articles, stories, and dialogues to enhance understanding.
Writing sessions cover sentence structure, paragraphs, and essay skills. I incorporate real-life scenarios to make learning practical. Lessons are interactive and encourage questions and discussion. I provide homework to reinforce skills outside the classroom. Progress is tracked with personalised feedback and suggestions. Lessons adapt to the student’s pace and learning style. My aim is to make English learning effective, engaging, and confidence-building. Students leave with improved fluency, comprehension, and communication skills.
