About Justyna

Dear prospective student,
I am a 41-year old Pole. I have always wanted to become an EFL teacher and teaching is my lifelong passion. In 2003, I graduated from University of Wrocław with a degree in applied linguistics and I obtained a Teaching Diploma. After graduation, I went to England for 9 months. In 2004 I passed CPE proficiency (C2) exam and returned to Poland and started working at a state school. I worked in state institutions until 2014, when I decided to move into the private sector and started teaching in companies. In 2017, I went to England again, where I taught English as a Second Language (ESOL) to emigrants. In the meantime, I took the prestigious Cambridge ESOL Delta course and passed 3 Cambridge TKT exams. In 2020, due to the situation in the world, I decided to return to Poland.
I have vast teaching experience ranging from kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, vocational school, technical secondary school to teaching adults. I have taught business English, general English and English for specific purposes courses e.g.: technical English, English for logistics, English for chemists, English for engineering, English for the automotive industry, English for human resources and English for the pharmaceutical industry from A0 to C1 CEFR level. I conducted one-to-one as well as group lessons.
In my spare time I like sewing, cooking, reading and hiking. I am interested in spirituality and spiritual development.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to my students’ needs. In the first lesson, I always conduct an oral and written placement test, a needs analysis and we agree upon a course map.
I have an eclectic approach to the teaching methods available. I use various teaching techniques and tools and a variety of materials during my classes. I like to supplement textbook courses with additional materials because there is no ideal textbook. I am experienced in creating courses on my own too.
During classes, we practice all language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, and we focus on developing your subskills, on developing your fluency and accuracy.
I have had many successful learners in the past. My personal biggest success was to prepare some expat students in England for the most advanced Trinity exam in writing, reading and speaking in less than a year.
My lessons are fairly fast-paced and I like to work with young adults and adults. I can offer classes from A0 to C1 CEFR levels. The minimum teaching unit is one hour and 30 minutes for a conversation class.

I was Justyna’s student in 2019.
She taught ESOL on a course preparing for the Trinity College London exams level 1 and 2 (B2 and C1 -CEFR levels). Although I joined the group later in the academic year (March) I managed to catch up and, in a few months’ time, passed with flying colours my exams (Reading/Compression, Writing, Speaking).
She helped me improve my grammar and writing skills in English immensely and prepared me for the exam tasks.
I found her tips for the speaking exam very useful too. Justyna is a patient and committed teacher.
I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a reliable teacher with a positive attitude.
