Teaching Techniques and Methods:
As an English teacher, I employ a variety of techniques to ensure my students engage with the material and develop strong language skills. Traditional techniques like direct instruction and guided practice are complemented by interactive activities such as group discussions, role-playing, and multimedia presentations. I also integrate technology into my lessons through the use of educational apps, online resources, and digital storytelling.
Usual Structure of a Class:
Each class typically begins with a warm-up activity designed to activate prior knowledge and get students focused. This might be a quick writing prompt, a vocabulary game, or a discussion question related to the day's lesson. The main part of the lesson involves a mix of direct instruction, interactive activities, and independent work. For example, I might start with a brief lecture or presentation, followed by group work where students collaborate on a task or project. The class concludes with a review and a brief assessment to gauge understanding, such as a quiz, exit ticket, or reflection activity.
Special Features as a Teacher:
One of my special features as a teacher is my ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. I strive to build strong relationships with my students, making them feel valued and heard. I am also known for my creativity in lesson planning, incorporating elements of literature, art, and culture to make learning English more engaging and relevant.
