About Richard

I am a passionate ESL teacher who loves to help others achieve their learning goals.

I have been lucky enough to live and travel abroad for many years and love to help others achieve their dreams of doing the same.

I am a kind and compassionate teacher and want my students to feel relaxed and free to express themselves in class.

I have functional Chinese for those who require a little translation in class but I am open to students from all over the world.

I will do my best to provide an environment that fosters the best learning for all.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm glad you have found my profile and are looking to improve your English speaking skills.

I provide 1 to 1 and group online classes for ESL learners. I am a TEFL qualified teacher with 12 years experience of teaching and living in China.

If you choose to learn with me we will focus heavily on speaking confidence and output. Classes will be taught from a set curriculum or personally tailored one depending on what you require.

I like to make my classes interactive and very conversation based. We will of course add new vocabulary and find interesting grammar points to work on but most of all we will focus on your ability to speak smoothly with the vocabulary you have and learn how to pass speaking exams to the best of your ability.

Each of my students are required to keep an advanced vocabulary book designed to help understanding and practical use of new vocabulary.

I hope to hear from you and look forward to working towards your language goals together.

Packages start at £18 an hour for online and £20 an hour for face-to-face classes.

If you require a personalised curriculum then additional hourly costs may apply for preparation. (This can be discussed during consultation)
