About Riri

I’m 100% native Japanese born and raised, moved to Los Angeles for my college and graduated with business administration degree.

I actually took Japanese language class at my college because I was curious how students out here are taught Japanese.

And as I have so many friends who is learning Japanese and with that experience in the class, I realized that overall what you learn in those class isn’t really common expression in Japan and we don’t even talk like that very much.

I’m here to change your view if you think Japanese is hard to learn!

About the lesson

I’m here to meet your expectations and your Japanese skill.

And I’ll love to create schedules for individual student and I can adjust the lesson to where you feel comfortable to learn.

Example, some of you want to be able to obtain native level of Japanese, or some just want to have casual level of Japanese or professional level for your (future) job.
Japanese has so many different ways of expression depending on the situation and occasion. Just like we have at least around 10 ways to say thank you “Arigatou”.

I’m here to also extend your vocabulary options.
“More vocabulary you know, more comfortable you get to speak and it will bring you more confidence!”

I’d like you to teach you what school don’t teach. Not everything go with the textbook all the time.

Japanese is very complicated and seems to be difficult as that might be why you are here trying to get a help.

Perfect! Excellent skills and methodology. Riri had a really good understanding of what I needed to learn which is every day interactive conversational Japanese and also a more formal verbiage. She laso has a very calm, joyful personality. I highly recommend Riri.

Vilma is a very motivated and positive student. She has a good ear for Japanese and can already understand quite a lot from listening. She is not afraid to speak, which is great for improving quickly.

She can improve by organizing her sentence structure and expanding her vocabulary, especially for real-life situations like meetings and daily conversations.

Riri is an mazing teacher! She is very knowledgeable of both English and Japanese. She is also a native of Japan which helps customize a perfect lesson plan for any situation, for example I am needing to learn Japanese in a business sense for work so my lessons are centered around proper business etiquette/communication. Overall I would give her an A+, and I will continue taking lessons with Mrs Riri.
