About Chaturmi

Hello!
This is Chaturmi. I graduated from St George Girls High School with a 95+ ATAR and am currently studying a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with a Master of Biomedical Engineering at UNSW.

I achieved Band 6/E4's in both Maths Ext 1 (95) and Maths Ext 2 (95) with my internal ranks for both also being in the top 10 within a very competitive cohort.
Additionally I have been a mathematics tutor for 3+ years and have tutored both at companies and privately meaning I know how to approach learning in a manner that is both encouraging and patient.
I have developed teaching methods that ensure that my students understand all parts of the syllabus in great detail, leading them to outstanding results. Many of the students whom I have tutored at companies and privately have finished the year in the top 10% of their grade after starting at the bottom.

About the lesson

I strongly believe that it is very important that every student knows and is very confident with the basic concepts before diving into more challenging questions. In addition to knowing the basics and then practicing difficult problems, consistent effort is also something I heavily emphasise.

I have spent countless hours curating a large library of practice exams which I have written myself in order to properly challenge my students and figure out their weaknesses so we can fix them together.
I will always respond to an queries my students have outside of the lesson not matter the issue and will go beyond what is needed to ensure my students are satisfied with their learning. I regularly send through feedback forms to gauge an idea of how the lessons are going and to see if any improvement can be made from my side.

My lessons are main targeted at high schools.
The typical length of my lessons are 1.5 hours but this will change depending on the student's year level and abilities.
