About Zora

Hi, I’m Zora! I’m a UCLA student studying Neuroscience and Biotechnology with over five years of tutoring experience working with students in grades 5–12.

Having worked with students at many different academic levels, I know that effective tutoring is not one-size-fits-all. I’m patient, encouraging, and highly adaptable, but I also believe in setting clear goals and making every lesson productive.

I especially enjoy helping students turn subjects or test sections they find intimidating into areas they feel confident tackling independently. Whether a student is looking for a major SAT score improvement, targeting a highly competitive score, or simply wants a structured approach to test preparation, I aim to provide the individualized support and strategy needed to make meaningful progress.

About the lesson

My SAT and test-prep lessons are completely personalized to each student’s starting score, target score, strengths, and weaknesses. I earned a 1600 on the SAT and use the strategies, reasoning techniques, and study methods that helped me reach that level to help students approach the exam efficiently and confidently.

I have five years of tutoring experience with students in grades 5–12. For SAT students, I begin by identifying the specific question types and concepts costing them the most points, then build a targeted study plan rather than wasting time reviewing material they already know. Lessons combine concept review, test-taking strategy, timed practice, error analysis, and techniques for improving both accuracy and speed.

I especially focus on teaching students how to think through unfamiliar questions instead of simply memorizing solutions. We track recurring mistakes and progress over time so that each lesson builds directly on the previous one.

Lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for the SAT, whether you are taking the exam for the first time, trying to break through a score plateau, or aiming for a highly competitive score. I can tailor the intensity and lesson structure around your test date and target score.
