We might focus on power chords one day and delicate electric technique the next. It helps to keep things grounded, so I ensure we always address the mechanics of your instrument alongside the music theory. If you are struggling with a specific transition, we slow the tempo down until it feels natural.
My BA in Musique populaire allows me to guide you toward the sounds you actually want to produce. You will walk away from our time together feeling much closer to your musical objectives.

Playing music in the Montreal folk scene for 13 years has defined my relationship with the instrument. I teach guitar with a direct focus on technique and practical application. Holding a BA in Musique populaire from UQAM provides the theoretical backbone for the lessons I deliver.
I have worked with 198 students ranging from teens to performance-focused adults seeking structure. My approach centers on essential skills like acoustic and electric technique, chord transitions, and barre chords. I also emphasize reading sheet music and ear training to ensure you understand what you are playing.
