About Hawi
Hi, my name is Hawi and I am a 1st Year Medical student at the University of Bristol. I studied A-level Biology, Chemistry and Music. I loved learning chemistry at GCSE which I excelled academically and continued to enjoy learning it at A-level. It is a subject that I instantly click with and will ensure many students feel that same way. Most of the time, students who struggle with Chemistry are not 'dumb' but the way it is taught at school can be quite traditional and confusing with more emphasis on memorisation rather than understanding. I struggled with this at school during Year 7 - 9 as I didn't know why I was memorising all of this content with no reasoning or purpose. However, in Year 10, I decided to teach myself chemistry through a variety of resources I made and used. With this, I excelled, consistently scoring top scores and teaching other students the topic who were struggling. This made me realise that anyone can be great at chemistry with right tools and teacher thus this has made me passionate to teach other students how to unlock their full potential and excel in education.
