About Taneeshtha

I am a patient, approachable, and dedicated maths tutor who is passionate about helping students grow in confidence and ability. I understand that many students find maths overwhelming, so I focus on creating a calm and supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions.

I explain concepts clearly and break complex topics into manageable steps, ensuring students fully understand the “why” behind each method. I adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs, whether a student requires more practice, visual explanations, or exam-focused preparation. My lessons are structured, engaging, and designed to build both accuracy and independent problem-solving skills.

I have a strong academic background in mathematics and experience supporting students at KS3 and GCSE level. I am committed to helping learners improve their grades, strengthen their understanding, and develop long-term confidence in maths.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and focused on building confidence. I believe strong understanding comes from clear explanations and consistent practice. At the start of each topic, I assess the student’s current level to identify gaps. I then explain concepts step-by-step using simple language, worked examples, and real exam-style questions. I encourage students to explain their thinking so I can correct misunderstandings immediately and strengthen their problem-solving skills.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes a short recap, teaching of a new concept, guided practice, and independent questions. I also focus on exam techniques, including showing clear working and managing time effectively.

I have a strong academic background in mathematics and experience supporting GCSE-level students. My lessons are suitable for KS3 and GCSE students, particularly those preparing for exams or aiming to improve their confidence and achieve higher grades in maths.
