About Alyssa

I am a recent high school graduate, who is here to help tutor kids from years 3 to 12. Academically, I have matured with skills and techniques that have helped me achieve fulfilling results in the final year of school, obtaining an 87.75 ATAR. I am most equipt to teach English as well as Society, PDHPE and Drama. I am currently doing a GAP year to prepare myself for the social work course that I intend to do in 2020 for the following 4 years. I currently obtain a verified WWC as well. I am free to tutor from Fridays to Sundays from the 14th of January and free all weekdays from the 30th of February.
I have a P2 licence and can drive to anywhere in the Inner West region to help you in terms of location. I have a resume if required and would love to call/email you if you're interested in my services.
I am more than happy to tutor younger children as well as teenagers who need to develop their literacy skills.

About the lesson

My teaching method and approach is to focus on the enrichment of children through literary learning. Providing students with skills and techniques that will help them to effectively analyse texts, devise a persuasive argument, correct grammar and punctuation and to overall help mature them in their writing, reading and spelling. I find profound importance in English studies as we use it as an instrument in our daily lives. My methodology is to teach the students to perceive English as of importance in our every day, not to perceive it as a compulsory subject that must be learnt. Wanting the students to love and cater their creative and academic thinking to its purpose.

For locations outside of the Inner West Region, there will be a $10 dollar travel fee. I am happy to discount to $5 if I am meeting regularly with a student.
