About Maisie
Hiya!
My name is Maisie and I finished university last summer. My degree was in English and all of it was about literature, meaning a lot of reading and writing, which I like!
However, I know that not everyone finds English easy and it can be hard to spell, read or understand it. Homework can be hard. I would be very happy to help with those problems! Homework doesn't have to be a horrible chore, it's just a challenge we all face - and that we can do together.
I have helped children of varying ages to learn different things, including English. I worked with a 9 year old girl who didn't know a lot of English to do her homework. We also hung out; speaking English and watching things in English to help her find talking and understanding speech easier! We can do that if you prefer. English can be tricky, but it doesn't have to be rubbish to learn.

After learning about the language level of the student, we can create a lesson plan based on what is most important to them in addition to learning the essentials. If it is just help with homework, there may not be much need for a plan.
Lessons would be one hour each unless preferred shorter or longer.
I have several years of experience privately tutoring English to a 9 year old child via lessons and looking after her (encouraging and teaching her conversational skills). I also have several years of experience as a teaching assistant for 4 to 6 year olds.
Based on my experiences, I would prefer helping primary school aged children who are beginners or at an intermediate level.
