About Emeka
My name is John Chukwuemeka Ogbonna but I go by the name “Emeka”. I am a current Chemical Engineering Student at the University of Hull and I would like to get into Tutoring as it would be a great opportunity to showcase and enhance my problem solving skills whilst leaving parents happy with their child’s progress in school at the end of every lesson. When I was tutored as a child. I found that I was able to feel better about the work that I did and I responded in a better way to the tutors that were younger. I felt as though that I could relate to them. This is not to try and say that the more experienced tutors were not good. I am only trying to say that with someone like me that a child can relate to (who is normally of a younger age) it makes the lessons run a lot more smoothly. The student will feel much more comfortable and their willingness to learn because of all of this, will increase. That way, we are making the most out of the hour. I have always striven to make the world a better place and what better way to do that than to help the future generations to feel more confident in the subjects that they are learning.

I am still quite young and that will give me the advantage of being more relatable to students whilst still being able to showcase my maturity to parents so that they will have the confidence that their child will succeed under my guidance. I have various teaching styles and I can adjust to the type of learner that your child is. The length of a lesson will be 1 hour and in that hour I will help them with all of their mathematical needs by taking what they have struggled with in school and present a new and easy way for them to approach the topic at hand. I have no experience as a tutor but I have been tutored before so I believe that I can use what I have learnt in my years of experience of being tutored to deliver a standard of teaching that all parents can be happy about for their child. My lessons are for students of the ages 11-16 yrs (Yr7 toYr11)
