About Martim
In my experience, students react differently to different methods.
Some of the people I tutored would rather start with a quick review of the subject they were studying and then move on to solving problems with my help and supervision.
Others would rather watch me solve exemplary exercises and then try to apply the techniques on their own.
There are also students who prefer a more detailed explanation of the topics with less focus on solving exercises, in which case I can elaborate a more detailed description than that found in the subject's book.
For this reason, I like to guide tutoring classes by the student's preference.
I also believe that my relaxed and friendly posture helps to captivate students' attention and interest.

I am a Physics student at the University of Porto, I'm finishing my degree and I intend to pursue my master's degree, possibly working as a part-time tutor.
During the first years of my degree, I tutored mathematics to family members who attended basic and secondary education, having gained some experience in addressing the doubts that I had when I was in this phase of my education.
