About Shaheer
I have received several accolades in my time of studying and learning, including the UoA Top Achiever Scholarship, UoA Deans' Honours List in 2022 and 2023, NZQA Scholarship in Statistics, and a 3rd in school academic scholarship from PNBHS. Given my success and deep understanding of Maths and Physics, I believe I am fit to help you achieve your goals.
I am passionate about tutoring as I believe that sometimes all that a struggling student needs is a different perspective or method that their schools fail to provide in order to solve problems.
There is something satisfying when a student is able to excel due to them finally understanding a concept/idea due to the way you have taught them. And as such, this helps drive me to be a successful tutor.

My teaching methodology for Maths and Physics consists of enabling students to be comfortable with the subject and have a deep understanding of why and not just the what and how.
I achieve this through taking students through past exam questions and other material that helps them master that aspect of the subject.
I am also a new tutor through MyTuition and have experience as a peer mentor back in high school.
I wish to teach students mainly at the Level 2-3 level in NCEA for Maths and Physics, however I am definitely able to teach Maths for lower level students too. Lessons would take 1-2 hours, depending on the needs and goals of the student. Please get in touch for any further details.
