About Thein Than
I am a 3rd year PhD student and a scholar at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. I graduated from the Singapore University of Technology and Design with a B.E in Engineering Product Development and from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering.
Before relocating to New Zealand, I studied and worked in both academics and industry for the past 13 years in Singapore. I am particularly interested in understanding engineering concepts and applying them rather than having a high score on exam papers. The correct understanding is the first step in learning and with my past experience, I am confident to bring you on the right path to enjoy studying.

If applicable and possible, I usually use visualization tools (drawing or Python) to explain concepts (e.g., frame transformation in robotics). I have teaching assistant experience in undergraduate robotics and engineering courses in New Zealand, Singapore, and China.
My lessons are for undergraduate, high school, and secondary school students. It takes about one to two hours for a lesson. As I have worked in academics (research officer in the development of robotics platforms and publications) and industry (associate engineer, product manager), I am happy to share my life experience as an engineer and a scholar.
