About Safwan
I have 3.5 years' experience tutoring both struggling and gifted students in maths and physics. I'm a student at Oxford University, and the tutorial system here has given me much food for thought about which teaching strategies are effective. I have been applying that experience, and helping others achieve a thorough understanding of mathematics.

Lessons will last for 1 hour. I begin by ironing out the weaknesses of the student, and tailoring my lesson plan accordingly. We'll then discuss the topic content thoroughly in order to identify what's causing these areas to be problematic. After the student's misunderstandings are rectified, I will spend time guiding the student in applying their newfound understanding to outside-the-box questions, allowing us to identify and correct very subtle flaws in understanding.
