About Caiti
I am a gap year student with plans to study biochemistry at a higher level, and am passionate about education and academia. I am a notorious hard worker, and am highly ambitious, traits that I hope to inspire in my students as they are key in any successful academic. I believe in education being fun and exciting, and I will do my best to teach in a captivating and interesting way, focusing on understanding rather than pure memorisation. I attended Devonport Highschool for girls for both GCSE and 6th form, and consistently performed at the top of my year, earning at the end of 6th form six A Level or AS Level qualifications in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, English literature and core maths, all at a grade A or above.

With several years experience tutoring in core subjects at GCSE level through an interschool program, I like to approach my teaching through an engaging and exam based lens, focusing on strategies and exam tricks that will help you to stand out among other candidates. I am heavy on the ideal of self-motivation and any tutoring will include a homework portion that I believe is essential to help students fully capture a subject, both unguided and guided. Lessons lengths are from an hour to an hour and a half depending on the student and I believe firmly in adapting a lesson plan to fit the students needs and learning style.

I got taught English lit and lang by Caiti at school when I was in Yr. 10 and she was in Yr12 and she was really good at helping me get my head around a lot of the terminology, and kept her patience with me when i took a while to pick things up. I had a lot of fun being tutored and I managed to achieve a 7 in both at the end so all the effort she put in with me definitely helped
Caiti tutored me in maths for Gcse through school and i think she really helped me grasp some of the trickier concepts, and made a big effort to approach things in a way I could understand. I would really recommend because she puts a lot of time into making lessons fun while still covering everything .
