About Melody
Hello! I'm Melody, a 4th-year Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics (BSE Mathematics) student, a consistent Dean's Lister, and a City Scholar. I have maintained grades of 1.75 or higher throughout my college studies and have 3 years of private tutoring experience.
I have taught Mathematics to students from Grade 7 to Grade 11 and can also assist 1st to 3rd year BSE Mathematics students with selected mathematics and education-related courses. I am passionate about helping students understand mathematical concepts, improve their problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.

My teaching approach is student-centered, patient, and interactive. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods according to each learner's needs, pace, and level of understanding. Rather than simply providing answers, I guide students through the learning process to help them develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previous topics or an assessment of the student's current understanding. I then explain concepts using simple, step-by-step examples before guiding students through practice exercises. As students gain confidence, I encourage them to solve problems independently while providing constructive feedback and effective strategies for improvement.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my combination of academic excellence and hands-on teaching experience. I am a 4th-year Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics (BSE Mathematics) student, a consistent Dean's Lister, and a City Scholar. With 3 years of private tutoring experience, I have worked with learners of different abilities and learning styles. My background in mathematics education allows me not only to teach mathematical concepts but also to identify effective teaching strategies that help students learn more efficiently.
My lessons are suitable for:
• Grade 7 to Grade 11 students who need assistance with mathematics lessons, assignments, quizzes, examinations, and skill development.
• BSE Mathematics students from 1st to 3rd year who need support in mathematics and mathematics education-related courses.
• Students seeking remedial instruction, enrichment lessons, exam preparation, or additional practice to strengthen their mathematical foundation and confidence.
