About Arya
Above all, I pride myself in taking a compassionate and fun approach to learning; often studying can be quite daunting for students, and my aim is to make learning as enjoyable as possible! I believe this is the best way to get information to stick in the brain. I believe that learning should be difficult and rewarding, and that the job of the tutor is to also increase their students' own confidence in their abilities.

I take a very student-led approach to my teaching and often employ the traffic light system - with subjects the students struggle with (red) tackled harder than the ones they don't. My sessions are quite interactive, with each bit of learning accompanied by at least some exam-style questions for consolidation. Homework would also be completely tailored to the tutee's needs, but I believe that most of the learning should be done within the lesson. On average my lessons take between 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. I have experience with tutoring GCSE level Science and Maths, although my main experience is with medical school preparation, for which so far I have a 75% success rate for admission.
