About Anish

As a fourth-year medical student, I bring proven success and insider expertise to UCAT and interview preparation. Scoring 740 on the UCAT and converting all four medical school interview offers into confirmed places, I understand the challenges you face. I prioritise personalisation and evidence-based strategies. Starting with a diagnostic mini-mock, I identify your specific weaknesses across all UCAT subtests, then craft a bespoke plan. Techniques include keyword scanning for Verbal Reasoning, time-flagging for efficiency—proven to boost scores rapidly. Interviews use STARR/CRAI frameworks with live role-plays, NHS hot-topic practice, and precise feedback on delivery and body language.
Away from medicine, I stay active with regular gym sessions and cricket matches, building discipline and teamwork—skills I pass on to my students. I deliver results through professional, tailored coaching that transforms nerves into confidence.

About the lesson

Interviews:
For MMI and panel interviews, I use structured frameworks such as STARR to help students build clear, evidence-based answers to common question types (ethics, motivation, teamwork, work experience). Sessions involve:

Live mock stations with real-time verbal and written feedback.

Practice on NHS hot topics, ethical scenarios, and university-specific questions.

Coaching on delivery, body language, and signposting to improve communication under pressure.

Honest Feedback with ways to improve.

UCAT:
Key techniques include:

Strategy-led teaching — I teach section-specific strategies (e.g., keyword scanning for Verbal Reasoning, flag-and-move techniques for time management) rather than simply drilling questions.

Type 1 vs. Type 2 question recognition — helping students quickly categorise questions by difficulty and allocate time accordingly.

Timed practice under exam conditions — progressively building speed and accuracy, with post-question debriefs to understand why an answer is correct, not just what the answer is.

Reflection — after each session, students identify what strategies worked and what needs adjustment, promoting independent learning between lessons.
