About Masroor

My proudest achievements are getting into Imperial College Medical School, getting the top 1% of Leaving Cert scores (equivalent of A Levels), getting the top 8% in the HPAT, getting 14.9A in BMAT and 3070 UCAT.

I have tutored students all over the world and have helped many get into their dream medical school, using the techniques and strategies that I can show you. I have over 1000 hours under my belt and have helped over 120+ students with over 40 5 star reviews.

About the lesson

Hi everyone! My name is Masroor Salam and I am a 4th year medical student studying at Imperial College. I have been through the strenuous medical entrance process two times now, so trust me I know how difficult it is. I've been through the highs and lows and will be able to give you an insight into what it takes to get into medical school.

I will make sure that we focus on your weaknesses and how to utilize your time to ensure you get the best results possible. I can help you with anything you like and the sessions will be wholly based around what you want to cover, be that HPAT, BMAT, UCAT, Medical Interview or Personal Statement. As well, rather than me simply showing you what the answer is and how to get it, I will help you and guide you to get to the answer yourself, that way you learn a lot more. As well, having the appropriate thought process when reading the question is vital.

On top of this, as a UCAT test editor for the UCAT Medic Mind course, I am well versed with the intricacies of the UCAT Test and will be more than happy to handle any questions and fears you may have with the UCAT.

My teaching style is based around your weaknesses and lots of practice as well as reflection. For me, the difference to getting into medical school is reflection and I will show you how to do that.

Also I will guide you to get to the answer rather than be spoonfed the answer. I will explore the reasons why you got a question wrong and how we can tackle this for the future and what we can learn from these mistakes so they don't happen in the future.
