I am a 5th Year Medical Student at the University of Glasgow with a strong academic background and first-hand experience of the competitive medical school application process.

I achieved a top 2% UCAT score and received offers from all four medical schools I applied to, giving me a clear understanding of what is required to succeed in the UCAT, medicine interviews and the wider application process.

As a medical student, I am used to learning and explaining complex scientific concepts in a clear and structured way. I aim to create a professional, supportive and approachable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence.

I take preparation seriously and tailor each lesson to the student's individual goals, strengths and areas for improvement. Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for an upcoming exam or strengthen their medical school application, I will provide structured guidance and practical strategies to help them make progress.

Above all, I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, more knowledgeable and clear about what they need to do next.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centred around making difficult concepts simple, structured and easy to apply. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual rather than using the same method for everyone.

Lessons are interactive and focused on understanding rather than simply memorising information. I break topics down into manageable steps, work through examples together, and use practice questions to identify weaknesses and build confidence. For UCAT and medicine interview preparation, I place particular emphasis on technique, strategy, timing and common mistakes, as these are often just as important as knowledge.

A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student's needs and goals. I also aim to give students clear areas to work on between lessons so that they continue improving independently.

I offer tutoring in UCAT preparation, medicine interviews, Biology and Chemistry. Lessons are suitable for secondary school students, including National 5, Higher, GCSE and A Level students, as well as prospective medical students preparing for university applications.

My aim is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, while also providing the structure, challenge and exam-focused techniques needed to make measurable progress.
