About Rawan
I’m a graduate student with a strong background in academic and creative writing. I’ve supported many university students with essays, assignments, and writing clarity, and I’ve also worked with writers who want help developing their voice or structuring creative projects. I know how overwhelming writing can feel, so I focus on making the process clear, manageable, and comfortable. My approach to teaching writing is supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping students understand how to communicate clearly. Whether you’re working on an essay, a research paper, an application, or creative writing, I guide you step-by-step through structure, clarity, and expression.
Teaching Methodology
I break writing into clear stages:
- understanding the assignment or purpose
- planning arguments or ideas
- structuring paragraphs logically
- improving clarity and flow
- editing for precision and tone
I help students develop stronger critical thinking skills, recognize patterns in their writing, and build repeatable techniques they can use independently.
A standard session may include:
1. Reviewing the student’s goals or current assignment
2. Reading through a section of writing together
3. Identifying strengths and areas for improvement
4. Rewriting or restructuring sentences/paragraphs collaboratively
5. Discussing strategies to improve clarity, flow, and argumentation
6. Creating a plan for next steps or revisions
Lessons vary depending on whether a student needs conceptual support (ideas, structure), technical support (grammar, clarity), or creative development.
