About William

I am a Specialised (Academic) Foundation Doctor working in Newcastle. I read Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and during my time developed an interest in teaching and education. I have completed several educational qualifications (outlined above) and have spent hundreds of hours tutoring medical and pre-med students, as well as delivering presentations at national and international conferences. My extensive knowledge of education theory allows me to tailor each session to the need of the individual student to provide high-yield, engaging educational material. I have access to an extensive medical school interviews question bank developed by clinicians that sit on medical interview panels and have considerable experience in writing medical literature through several publications.

About the lesson

- Student-led, highly flexible teaching styles tailored to your needs.
- I can deliver focussed sessions on any aspect of the medical school journey. As a student who scored top decile in both UCAT and BMAT and interviewed in all three styles (Oxbridge, panel, MMI) I am well-suited to provide a range of educational sessions
- Thorough coverage of any topics at medical school to a finals or postgraduate level, including written handouts to support the learning emailed to you after each session
- Sessions from 30-90 minutes depending on content and style
-Educational qualifications: UGCert Medical Education (University of Edinburgh), Training in Teaching 5-day course (Juniour Association for the Study of Medical Education), Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Authority
- Extensive experience tutoring medical students and pre-med students on a range of topics, including organising an internationally-attended surgical teaching series

Perfect! Incredibly Helpful for 2nd year medical school exams. He’s very good at explaining difficult concepts and breaking down large topics to make them more understandable. Lessons are well researched and he is very knowledgable, especially on anatomy. I would definitely recommend.
