About Sophia
Hi! I’m Sophia, an accelerated IGCSE Math student with a passion for helping others unlock their potential. I’ve tutored kids in both English and German, helping them improve their skills and confidence, and I’ve also served as a peer support leader, guiding younger students through academic and personal challenges. These experiences have taught me how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a supportive, encouraging environment. Now, I’m excited to bring that same dedication to math tutoring for Year 7–9 students. Whether you’re struggling with the basics or aiming for top grades, I’ll break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and make learning fun and engaging. My tutoring approach for Year 7–9 students focuses on building a strong foundation in maths by breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I can teach both NESA and IGCSE 0580 and 0607 as I've learned the course before. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, using real-world examples and interactive methods to make learning engaging and relatable. Through guided practice, constructive feedback, and a supportive environment, I aim to boost their confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and foster a genuine understanding of maths.
