About Sawyer
I am a committed ESL tutor with 10 years of experience teaching High School and College students, and I have successfully guided around 150–200 learners in improving their English proficiency. My teaching philosophy is based on student-centred learning and practical application.
I believe that students learn best when lessons are tailored to their needs, so I design my sessions to match their level and goals. I use a mix of teaching methods, including conversations, exercises, and real-life examples, to make learning engaging and effective.
I also focus on building confidence and encouraging students to practise regularly. One of my proud achievements is seeing students improve their communication skills and achieve better academic results. I am passionate about teaching and committed to helping students reach their full potential.

My teaching approach for ESL combines creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability to create an effective and engaging learning environment. I use creative strategies such as storytelling, role-play, discussions, and real-life examples to make lessons interesting and practical.
I encourage students to think critically and express their ideas clearly. This helps them build confidence and improve communication skills. As a mentor, I guide students with patience and understanding.
I personalise my teaching methods based on each student’s needs and learning style. I create a supportive environment where students feel motivated to learn.
Accountability is an important part of my teaching. I set clear goals, track progress, and provide feedback regularly. I encourage students to stay consistent and responsible.
Along with ESL, I teach related subjects to support overall learning. My goal is to help students become confident, fluent, and independent learners.
