About Owen
I have 9 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Performing Arts. During my career, I have taught children, teenagers, adults, hobby musicians, and aspiring performers with many different musical backgrounds. I enjoy creating lessons that balance technical improvement with the excitement of making music.
One student joined my classes after struggling with fast chord changes and losing confidence during performances. We focused on rhythm exercises, finger independence, and gradual tempo training while practicing favorite songs each week. Within several months, the student confidently performed with a local band for the first time.
I believe every guitarist develops at a unique pace and deserves patient guidance throughout the learning journey. My lessons encourage curiosity, creativity, and regular practice while maintaining a relaxed and supportive learning environment. Watching students perform music they once believed was beyond their ability continues to inspire me as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I enjoy arranging guitar pieces, attending live concerts, and exploring musical styles from different cultures that introduce fresh ideas into my lessons. These experiences help me create engaging classes that connect technique with real musical expression. I would be delighted to help you become a confident guitarist and achieve your personal musical goals.

I begin by understanding the music each student enjoys because personal interests make learning more enjoyable. This helps me create lessons that keep motivation high from the very first class. Every learner follows a practice plan that matches individual goals and experience.
Body posture and hand positioning are taught carefully to build strong technical foundations. Chord transitions become smoother through gradual exercises that improve accuracy without creating unnecessary tension. Rhythm training with a metronome helps students develop steady timing and musical consistency.
Finger independence is strengthened through daily exercises that increase flexibility and coordination. I introduce acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and fingerstyle techniques according to each learner's interests and long-term goals. Improvisation activities encourage creativity while helping students understand scales and musical phrasing.
Songwriting projects allow learners to apply the techniques they have developed in class. Students preparing for auditions, live performances, bands, music schools, or professional performances receive focused coaching with performance simulations and constructive feedback. Every lesson ends with personalized practice goals that help students continue improving confidently between sessions.
