About Kenneth

Hello, I am an experienced working finance professional, with a degree in Accounting and Finance from Warwick University. Having studied IGCSE and A Levels myself, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies that work best for mastering these subjects. I offer tutoring in Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Further Mathematics, and English—subjects that can seem daunting at first, but become highly rewarding and even enjoyable once the core concepts click. Beyond exam preparation, I aim to help students see the real-world relevance of these subjects and how they can influence their future academic and career choices. My approach is student-centered, combining soft skills like clear communication, empathy, and adaptability with strong technical skills in online presentations and resource creation. I design each lesson based on the student’s individual learning style and pace, using engaging techniques such as real-life examples, interactive problem-solving, and visual aids. Above all, I strive to create a positive and motivating environment where students can build both academic skills and confidence. Whether you're aiming for top grades or just want to understand your subjects better, I’m here to support your success every step of the way.

About the lesson

I take a hybrid, student-focused approach tailored to Degree IGCSE and A-Level students. Each 1–2 hour session depending on your needs is designed based on an initial assessment that identifies the student’s current level, learning style, and areas for improvement. This enables me to set both short- and long-term academic goals with the student.

My lessons incorporate active learning techniques such as real-world applications, problem-solving tasks, and verbal explanation of concepts. I also use a variety of teaching methods—including visual aids, interactive quizzes, and online presentations—to keep sessions engaging and effective.

Students receive personalized resources, homework, and regular assessments to track progress. I apply spaced repetition and revision strategies before exams to boost retention, and provide ongoing feedback and reflection to support self-awareness and confidence.

Sessions are flexible and can be conducted online or in-person. I also provide parental updates when needed and encourage students to request specific topics they’d like to work on.

My ultimate goal is to help students not only excel academically but also become confident, independent learners.

RM120 (Degree level)

If tutoring on site/travelling to the student house, transport costs will need to be reimbursed additionally and happy to discuss this separately further
