About Shreya

Hi! I'm an Accounting and Finance student with a passion for helping others learn and reach their full potential. I've always enjoyed mathematics and science, and I understand that these subjects can sometimes feel challenging or overwhelming. That's why I aim to make lessons engaging, approachable, and tailored to each student's individual needs.

I want to teach because I find it incredibly rewarding to see students grow in confidence and achieve results they didn't think were possible. I believe that with the right support, encouragement, and teaching approach, every student can succeed. My goal is not only to help improve grades but also to develop a genuine understanding of the subject, so students feel confident tackling problems independently.

Whether you're preparing for exams, need help with homework, or simply want to strengthen your understanding of maths or science, I'm here to support you every step of the way in a friendly, patient, and positive learning environment.

About the lesson

I take a student-centred approach to tutoring GCSE Maths and Science, focusing on building both understanding and confidence in a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I adapt each lesson to suit the individual’s needs, learning style, and pace, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and using real-life examples to make concepts easier to grasp. My teaching combines explanation, guided practice, and active problem-solving, with plenty of opportunities for students to apply what they’ve learnt and develop independent thinking skills. Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes, allowing time to review previous topics, introduce new material, and practise exam-style questions. I have experience supporting students at different ability levels and helping them improve their grades and confidence, particularly in preparation for GCSE exams. My lessons are aimed at secondary school students studying GCSE Maths and Science who want to strengthen their understanding, boost their exam performance, or gain more confidence in these subjects.
