About Shriya
HI! I am a 20 year old student, currently in my 3rd year of Bcom Accounting Sciences at the University of Pretoria. I am a dedicated and motivated individual who always strives to complete any task and overcome any challenge to the best of my ability. From a young age, I have learned that it is so much more important to understand the work that you are studying, rather than to just study the work like a "parrot", and I take pride in enforcing that same methodology while tutoring my students.
I want to become a tutor because I find fulfillment in helping others build confidence in their abilities and reach their academic goals. I believe that tutoring is not only about improving marks, but also about empowering students to be confident in their understanding of their work and their capabilities.

My methodology as a tutor is simple: my aim is to help my student completely understand the subject and the basic principles behind it. This way, studying "like a parrot" is not needed at all.
All lessons will be conducted in English.
A typical lesson will consist of the student bringing a topic that they need assistance with.
I will explain the basics of that topic and then do an example or two together with the student to better explain and reinforce certain concepts, before giving them an additional question or a section from a past paper to attempt.
My lessons are aimed at students at all learning levels, whether that may be a student that needs to be taught the topic / subject from the beginning, or students wanting a few touch up lessons before tests and exams
