About Abigail
As a dedicated tutor with a strong academic background in math and science, I am committed to helping elementary and middle school students build confidence and excel in their studies. Currently pursuing graduate-level education while preparing for medical school, I understand the importance of a solid foundation in STEM subjects and the impact of effective learning strategies. My approach is student-centered, engaging, and results-driven. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps, ensuring students truly understand the material rather than just memorizing it. By incorporating real-world applications, interactive exercises, and personalized techniques, I make learning both enjoyable and effective. Patience, encouragement, and adaptability are at the core of my teaching, allowing me to meet each student where they are and help them progress with confidence. Whether a student is struggling, looking for enrichment, or preparing for exams, I provide the tools and support needed for success. With my experience in rigorous academic settings and a deep passion for education, I create a structured, supportive, and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately mastering their subjects.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, focusing on building understanding rather than memorization. I break down complex topics into simple steps, use real-world applications, and adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style. Interactive methods like visuals and hands-on activities keep lessons engaging and effective.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review, followed by a clear explanation of new concepts with examples. We then move to guided practice, where I work through problems with the student, leading into independent practice to build confidence. The lesson ends with a summary and any remaining questions.
What sets me apart is my patience, encouragement, and ability to personalize lessons. I create a supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and develop confidence in their abilities. My lessons are for elementary and middle school students (grades 3-8) who need support in math and science, whether they’re struggling, seeking enrichment, or preparing for tests.
