About Rhys
I am a Math tutor with over three years of teaching experience and a Master’s in Mathematics (MMath). My love for the subject goes beyond equations and formulas. I am deeply passionate about the history of mathematics and the evolution of mathematical thought. From the ingenious geometry of ancient Egypt to the groundbreaking algebra of the Islamic Golden Age, I explore how different civilizations shaped the way we understand numbers and patterns today. I love uncovering the stories behind famous theorems and tracing their origins to moments of curiosity, challenge, and discovery. In my sessions, students not only learn how to solve problems but also why these methods exist in the first place. I believe that understanding the human journey behind mathematics makes the subject richer, more relatable, and more inspiring. I guide learners through the cultural and intellectual milestones that have shaped our mathematical world. We discuss legendary mathematicians, their struggles, and their brilliance. I encourage students to see mathematics as a living, evolving story rather than a fixed set of rules. My teaching approach in Mathematics focuses on building strong conceptual foundations and practical skills that students can apply in both academics and research. I cover core topics such as algebra, trigonometry, and geometry, along with advanced areas like data interpretation, graphing techniques, statistical analysis, and understanding numerical trends. Lessons are designed to combine theory with hands-on problem-solving. I believe in deep textual analysis for understanding concepts and structured data exercises to sharpen analytical thinking. Students learn how to decode complex problems, work through them step-by-step, and identify efficient solutions. I integrate real-world examples so they see how mathematics works beyond textbooks. For those who feel math is challenging, I create a patient and encouraging environment that helps them overcome fear and gain confidence. I guide learners to approach quantitative reasoning with clarity and precision. Together, we will refine your data analysis skills so you can handle numbers with ease. My aim is to help every student achieve excellence in exams, assignments, and professional applications of mathematics.
