About Tiana
With over 3 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics, I specialize in helping students uncover the elegance and precision of mathematical thinking. My teaching focuses on building strong foundations in formal reasoning, introducing students to the beauty of logic and proof. I work with advanced high school and early university students who are ready to dive deeper into topics like propositional and predicate logic, set theory, and proof strategies. My teaching approach in Maths is nurturing, playful, and deeply personalized. I believe every student learns best when they feel supported and curious. I use real-world examples, games, and puzzles to show how maths lives all around us—from shopping discounts to strategy games and logic riddles.
Alongside school and university-level topics, I bring in ideas from recreational mathematics, logic puzzles, and game theory to keep learning fun and fresh. My sessions are interactive and filled with discovery. I love watching students light up when they solve something that once felt impossible.
I guide them through problem-solving with patience, adapting to their pace and style. For students who enjoy video games or board games, I connect mathematical thinking to those interests. I also work closely with parents to help build consistency and confidence at home.
My aim is not just to improve scores, but to spark lasting interest. I celebrate small wins and big leaps alike. Together, we explore math not as a chore, but as a tool for understanding the world—and having fun while doing it.
