About Aira
I’m a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Physics, specialising in condensed matter physics and materials science. I work closely with students to help them explore the deep connections between atomic structure and material behaviour. My focus includes crystal structures, band theory, superconductivity, and semiconductors—topics that form the backbone of modern technology. My teaching approach to Physics is relaxed, engaging, and focused on real-world engineering applications. I believe students learn best when they can connect concepts to practical problems. That’s why I use examples from materials science, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics to explain core physics principles. Whether it’s thermodynamics, electromagnetism, or statics and dynamics, I relate each topic to actual engineering tasks. I help students understand how physics plays a role in design, innovation, and analysis. From solving force diagrams in statics to modelling flow in fluid systems, we break down complex ideas into manageable steps. My goal is to make physics feel useful, not just theoretical. I also teach computational physics and guide students in using simulations to model real-world systems. I support learners in applying physics to practical designs, from aerospace components to energy systems. Together, we explore how physics influences strength of materials, heat transfer, and motion control. Sessions are tailored, interactive, and flexible to match student goals.
