About Elizabeth
I am a teacher candidate at the University of Calgary.
I love learning; my lifelong passion has led me to pursue a Bachelor of Education. I have completed a BA in global development; however, I wanted to continue my studies to help others like my teachers had done for me.
I have worked with learners of all ages for over seven years as a tutor, an educational assistant, and a library assistant. I cultivated different skill sets for each role, working with children and adults to foster equity in inclusive community spaces. I continue to work in education as an English substitute and an additional language assistant. I enjoy continuously exploring teaching methodology, increasing my knowledge of pedagogical practices, and understanding the impact of society and culture in educational spaces.
