About Mae
Hi I’m Mae, I have a passion for Maths and the sciences. I am taking Maths Chemistry Physics and Further maths at A level and feel that tutoring will help challenge and consolidate my own knowledge whilst also helping others who maybe struggling with the subjects I love! I have a younger sister who’s is currently in year 8, I regularly offer help to both her and her friends on a one to one basis and offering my support on superprof is essentially a way of expanding this. In school I am also expected to help students in year 10 and year 9 with their starting GCSE through opportunities I have taken up in the maths and science departments.
I specialise in Mathematics tutoring but am also more than happy to work on Chemistry and Physics too (both of which I got 8s in at GCSE) if you wish for your child to receive a broader tuition in the maths based STEM subjects. I am happy to tutor any secondary aged student and can help greatly with both KS3 and GCSE content. I would say I specialise in the transitional years of year 9 and 10 where the student is still learning GCSE content but I can also be extremely helpful in guiding those who are even younger through the challenges of early KS3 Maths and science.

My tutoring style is simple, first focusing on specific problem areas highlighted both by parents and the student themselves whether that be from in school work or personal revision, then after quick testing so that I can further understand what my student need to work on, we can move on to focused learning. Communication is incredibly important between the student and myself and I always make sure to encourage this through relationship building.
