About Kevin
Pacing matters more than speed. Assessment starts with a diagnostic skills check before we build your plan. This helps me see where your ear training or rhythm guitar needs support.
Because my background is in songwriting, I treat the guitar as a tool for expression rather than just a set of physical exercises. I aim to bring a relaxed energy to our time together, much like a casual jam session with friends. Let us get to work on your technique.

Growing up immersed in the Québécois folk scene shaped how I hear music today. Honestly, I find that most self-taught players know the songs but miss the underlying mechanics of chord transitions. My approach is rooted in 6 years of teaching 401 students how to move beyond basic tabs.
I hold a BA Music from McGill which provides the formal theory I use to simplify complex scales and modes. Tuning and maintenance are just as important as improvisation, so we cover those early. If you want to refine your playing, feel free to reach out to me.
