About Gurleen
Hi! I'm Gurleen, a current Actuarial Science student at Dalhousie University with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others succeed. With over 3 years of experience in leadership and mentoring roles, I’ve learned how to connect with students in a way that makes learning feel less intimidating and more empowering. I believe that everyone has the ability to understand math—it just takes the right explanation, a bit of patience, and support tailored to your needs. I approach each session with empathy, structure, and a genuine desire to see my students thrive. Beyond academics, I’m highly organized, reliable, and deeply committed to making each session a productive and positive experience. Whether you're struggling with the basics or looking to boost your confidence before an exam, I’m here to help you every step of the way. As a student of Actuarial Science at Dalhousie University, I bring both a strong foundation in mathematics and a deep understanding of how to make challenging concepts feel approachable and relevant. My tutoring approach is entirely personalized—each lesson is tailored to suit the student's unique learning style, pace, and academic goals.
Whether you're a visual learner, someone who learns best through practice, or someone who needs step-by-step breakdowns, I adapt my methods to what works best for you. A typical session begins with a quick recap, followed by focused concept teaching using real-world examples, and ends with guided problem-solving and confidence-boosting tips.
