About Helen

I am an ESL Instructor and an academic proofreader. I have assisted many students organize and write essays. I have also worked in HR in the past and have written resumes and cover letters for clients. I have also taught English overseas for over five years and have enjoyed learning about different cultures. I work with high school students as well as adults.

About the lesson

I teach according to my students needs. The more I get to know my students, the better it is to structure our lessons. I need to know their goals as well as their interests. A lot of my lessons take place through conversation.

Helen's response
She said that she needs help speaking and writing. However, she speaks like a native speaker. She maybe needs help writing since she has been out of school for a while and had children which is understandable. I still need to see a writing sample in order to evaluate

We have had the privilege of working with Helen since 2021 at our private school, where she has been instrumental in preparing our adult students for the IELTS exam, particularly in speaking and listening. Her expertise and dedication shine through in her tailored approach to teaching, where she develops individualized strategies and answers to oral questions based on each student's specific needs.

Helen's track record is remarkable, having helped 20-30 students achieve their IELTS goals, with some even reaching an impressive band score of 8.0. Her ability to guide beginners, including those with little to no foundation, is exceptional. Many of our students have seen significant progress, with some achieving a speaking score of 4 within just 4-5 months under her guidance.

Her commitment to her students’ success and her structured yet supportive teaching style have earned her deep gratitude from both our students and staff. Helen is truly an outstanding IELTS teacher, and we highly recommend her to anyone seeking effective and personalized IELTS preparation.
