About Matthew
I am studying for my Master's in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Leeds. With a keen interest in space flight, rocketry and all things that orbit!
My own younger sister is currently undertaking her GCSE's and I have seen first hand the impact COVID-19 has had on her learning. Taking it upon myself to help teach her, while I too am at home during lockdown.
Tutoring should be engaging and fun; tailored to the students needs and interests. I believe I can aid parents who are struggling with the current situation greatly and benefit their children's learning and interest in science.
Mathematics and physics is something I'm passionate about and still young myself, at 21, I can connect with the issues of GCSEs and school life.
Having spent a large portion of my A Level years volunteering at my local After School club, I've seen just how much young children are sponges of information, COVID-19 has had large impacts on their opportunity to access this!

Maths and physics can be conceptually difficult to wrap your head around.
My teaching method focuses on what your child is struggling with from the syllabus and tailors the explanations to topics they find interesting.
Is your child a gigantic Fortite fan, loves Anime or has a blast following their favourite YouTubers? Physics and maths can be found everywhere, the possibilities are endless and it's my job to link the topics in a way your child finds enjoyable, engaging and most importantly understands.
I once had an English tutor, who followed the same methodology. They tailored my own struggles through the syllabus into topics I was currently facinated about and attending their tutoring sessions was nothing short of fantastic. This is my aim.
Additionally, exam preparation is vital, crawling through past papers is the most important. Understanding the mark schemes, tailoring this to your child's needs and making sure they understand the process to taking an exam efficiently can make a significant difference.
