About Zara
I am an aerospace engineer with over 4 years of maths tutoring experience. I first started tutoring GCSE mathematics while I was at university. After completing my degree, I worked as mathematics teacher at a private school and later I worked at school abroad for 1.5 years. I first began tutoring at a Kumon Centre while I was at college and since then I have privately tutored GCSE Mathematics, Physics, Biology, 11+ Maths and Spactial Reasoning. I believe any student can excel in a subject if they have the right teacher that understands their weaknesses and can guide them.

I don't believe that textbook methods are always the easiest to understand so I like to use my own notes to teach my students. I ask my students to practice with textbook questions and then we go through past paper questions as they are the closest to the actual exam paper questions. Practice past papers are the key to success as students become familiar with the exam question format.
