About Simon
My name is Simon and I am a proud enthusiast of both STEM as well as English subjects.
I love the methodical approach to Mathematics as you gain skills and solve problems over and over again. Let me tell you, when you solve a difficult problem over which you have been struggling for a while, it feels amazing! Science is just a subject that is downright awesome. You learn how the world around you works from atoms to the formation of galaxies.
I also love English because it allows my creative side to thrive. Literature and stories are so valuable in our lives and I enjoy using language to craft engaging narratives (and I can help you too!!). I am studying my second year of a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering this year and hopefully that will allow me to work on fighter jets and rockets!

Patience is everything. I am passionate about the subjects I want to help with and will sit down with you and work thoroughly to ensure you understand the content and skills required. I believe 1 hour sessions are the most effective for tutoring because it enables me to sit together and dedicate time towards strengthening your weaknesses. It also allows for optimal focus so that you get the most out of each session. I completed my HSC in 2021, with an ATAR of 97.60 and I placed in the top 5 of all my subjects. I am looking to build experience as a tutor because I enjoy helping others overcome problems and learn. I am capable of helping students with homework and study; whether you are just beginning high school or are in your final year of HSC.

I encouraged Simon to look into tutoring at a larger scale after getting help from him for some areas in Standard Maths (2021) I found difficult to understand. I was impressed with his flexibility in teaching something away from his specialties (which I understand to be Advanced and Extension). He was patient and kind, and possessed a fantastic ability to grasp the limits of my understanding and target those areas.
