About Rohan
I grew up in the Afrikaans culture and completed my schooling at Afrikaans schools. I graduated with a bachelors in IT from the University of Pretoria last year and I'm currently pursuing my Honours Degree in IT. I have a deep love for my culture and language, this led me to decide to teach Afrikaans as I know how to simplify complex concepts and explain it.

My goal with teaching Afrikaans is as follow:
- Before approaching the language technicalities of Afrikaans I explain the 'why' behind the rule. Personally it is easier for me to grasp a concept if I understand the reason behind it.
- Before dissecting a literature work I explain the background of the author and that era of Afrikaans to provide my students with a richer picture of the work.
- And finally I believe the key to better creative writing is reading. I provide my students with different texts to study to improve their sentence construction and overall imagination.
- My teaching style is adaptable depending on the need of my students and their capabilities. My lessons are insightful and focused but still a calm space for the student to excel at their own pace.
