About Yaren

I have been dancing since childhood and have received professional training throughout my journey. Dance has always been my main way of expressing myself, creating, and connecting — both with my own body and with others. I believe that everyone has a unique way of moving and a personal story to tell through dance. My approach focuses on building a healthy and honest relationship with the body, allowing movement to flow naturally, guided by awareness, sensation, and emotion. Contemporary dance, for me, is a space of freedom and exploration. It moves beyond strict forms and welcomes individuality, curiosity, and creative expression. In my teaching, I encourage students to explore their own movement language while developing technique, body awareness, and confidence. Whether you are new to dance or have previous experience, my aim is to guide you in a supportive and open environment where you can explore movement, enjoy the process, and connect more deeply with your body. I look forward to dancing together and accompanying you on this journey of movement and discovery.

About the lesson

I offer dance lessons both online and in a mutually agreed location. Lesson schedules are created individually, according to each student’s needs and goals. The first lesson begins with a general introduction. This session is important for getting to know your body, understanding your movement habits, and allowing me to observe how you move in order to create a personalised program. Every body is different, and lessons progress with this individuality in mind. The classes are suitable for everyone — from first-time movers to students with a dance background. Each lesson starts with stretching and a warm-up to prepare the body for movement. While the content may vary depending on the day, lessons generally include improvisation with and without music, exploring the relationship between breath and body, coordination and harmonious use of different body parts, modern/contemporary dance techniques, creative movement, and choreography development.
