About Alexa

I am Alexa, a Scientist working in the pharmaceutical industry with a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. My professional background includes hands-on experience in biotech and lab-based research, where I’ve developed a strong foundation in scientific thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. I’m passionate about making complex science more accessible and helping others build confidence in STEM subjects. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, practicing piano, and staying active in ways that keep me balanced and creative. I bring that same mix of discipline, patience, and curiosity into my tutoring approach, aiming to create a supportive space where students can truly understand and engage with what they’re learning.

About the lesson

My tutoring sessions are structured yet flexible, focusing on building true understanding of science concepts rather than memorization. I use clear, step-by-step explanations, guided problem-solving, and real-world examples from my experience as an Associate Scientist in biotech to make complex topics in biology and related fields more approachable.

My sessions are best suited for high school and college students studying biology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or other STEM-related courses, as well as those preparing for exams or needing support with study skills and scientific understanding.
