About Sarra
I am a student in Ireland who has an extensive background in both traditional and classical music. I teach traditional Irish music and I have a well rounded knowledge of my instrument having completed all my traditional and classical grades with distinction. I have competed in and won several national competitions with both 'ceilí bands' and 'grupa ceoils' and was selected to play violin individually in Leinster house.

I teach music 'by ear.' This is the traditional way of learning music which hones in on musical listening and imitation of phrases. Whether you are a classical player who would like to explore a fresh approach to the violin or a complete beginner these lessons will teach you how to 1) identify notes by ear 2) play traditional Irish tunes-(jigs, reels, hornpipes, slow airs) 3) Develop a sense of rhythm and beat to enable you to play alongside other traditional musicians
