Hi all! Welcome to my Violin & Viola page. I am here to help you reach your goals and guide you in the direction you desire. I hold a BA in Performance and an MA in Music Ed. 16+yrs exp.

Aleksandre’s studio offers exceptional, thoughtful instruction grounded in strong musical fundamentals. Students build solid technique while cultivating expressive playing, confidence, and a deep understanding of the repertoire. His teaching is both supportive and inspiring, creating an environment where each student feels encouraged to grow at their own pace while striving toward high artistic standards. It is a wonderful place for young musicians to develop skill, discipline, and a lifelong love of music.

Alex has been working with my son for about 8 months now, and in that short time his playing has improved beyond what we were expecting. Alex is extremely knowledgeable and energetic, making the lessons very enjoyable while still maintaining high standards and expectations. My son has started practicing more and now looks forward to his lessons. I am very happy with this teacher and recommend them wholeheartedly.

I enjoy the new techniques to help shift and play better as a whole.

Prof. Aleksandre Roderick-Lorenz teaching method exceeds the scope of regular instrumental lessons offering a deep connection with the students and understanding of their unique needs and ways of learning. Besides that, lessons are always creative and fun!

Excelente, lo recomiendo 100%

Outstanding professionalism and expertise.

I can’t say enough good things about studying with Aleksandre. From the very first lesson, it was clear that they have a rare gift for teaching both violin and viola. Aleksandre explains technique in a clear, practical, and patient way. There’s also a strong focus on listening deeply, comparing sounds, and shaping your own musical voice.

I’ve improved faster with Aleksandre than I experienced with my previous teachers. Their passion for performance and classical music is motivating and makes playing meaningful. I’ve enjoyed critically listening to professional performances in my free time. Aleksandre understood how to bring out my best and take my playing to the next level. Just amazing!

We have had a wonderful experience with Teacher Roderick-Lorenz’s private violin lessons. Their instruction is thoughtful, patient, and highly personalized, meeting students exactly where they are while gently pushing them to grow. They balance strong technical foundations with musical expression, helping students not only improve their skills but also develop a genuine love for playing. Lessons are well-structured yet engaging, and their calm, encouraging demeanor builds both confidence and discipline. We are incredibly grateful for their guidance and would highly recommend them to any family seeking a dedicated and inspiring violin teacher.

Aleksandre is a fantastic teacher. I was learning how to play and read music from my very first lesson. I loved my lessons and learning from such a professional and inspiring teacher.

Aleksandre is an exceptional violin and viola teacher! They have a rare ability to clearly explain technique and musicality. Aleksandre encourages students to truly listen, compare sounds, and thoughtfully shape their own playing style. The progress I’ve seen has been remarkably fast compared to any other teacher I’ve encountered. Furthermore, Aleksandre’s enthusiasm for performance and classical music is very inspiring and motivating! You are encouraged to listen to performances and recognize your part in a musical lineage. Aleksandre truly is the best teacher for beginners and experts alike and takes their students to the next level!

Aleksandre Roderick- Lorenz is one of the most accomplished teachers I've ever encountered. I worked with their students at the North Broward Preparatory School, which ranged from 5th grade to high school students. The creativity, nurturing, discipline, organization they exhibited was next to none. Aleksandre also worked closely with me as my teaching assistant at the Setnor School of Music of Syracuse University where he taught and coached undergraduates & graduate students. Their range from the very youngest of students to the pre-professional is just one of the unique attributes of Aleksandre's teaching. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I am writing to give my highest and most heartfelt recommendation for Aleksandre as a viola teacher. Their expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for their students are truly exceptional.

My son has studied with several teachers in the past, yet there were technical issues that had gone unnoticed and unresolved for years. In just one lesson, Aleksandre immediately identified what was going on and began addressing it with clarity, patience, and precision. The difference has been remarkable, not only in my son’s playing, but in his confidence and excitement for music.

It is rare to find a teacher with such a deep understanding of the instrument, the ability to communicate so effectively, and the intuition to recognize exactly what a student needs. Aleksandre is responsible for my son’s growth in a way I will always be grateful for.

I cannot recommend them highly enough. Any student would be incredibly lucky to learn from Aleksandre.
