I am Dr. Amarachi Onyena, a PhD-qualified Marine Biologist and University Lecturer with extensive experience teaching biology at all levels. I have supported students from GCSE and A-Level through to undergraduate and postgraduate courses, helping them understand complex concepts, develop practical skills, and achieve academic success.
I take pride in creating lessons that are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs, whether for exam preparation, coursework, or research projects. My approach combines clear explanations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving to ensure students gain confidence, mastery, and a genuine understanding of biology.

I deliver structured, interactive, and student-centred lessons designed to build both understanding and confidence in biology. My methodology combines conceptual explanations, practical examples, and problem-solving exercises, ensuring that students not only memorise facts but also apply knowledge effectively. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, focusing on areas where they need the most support, whether for exam preparation, coursework, lab work, or research projects.
Typical lessons are 60–90 minutes, allowing time for explanation, discussion, and guided practice. For complex topics or dissertation guidance, longer sessions can be arranged, with a flexible pace tailored to the student’s goals.
I am a PhD-qualified Marine Biologist and University Lecturer with extensive experience teaching at all levels, from GCSE and A-Level students to undergraduate and postgraduate learners. I have supervised multiple dissertations and guided students through research methodology, data analysis, and lab-based projects, providing high-level academic support alongside foundational biology learning.
My lessons are suitable for students of all ages and academic stages who want to excel in biology, develop strong study skills, and gain confidence in understanding both theory and practical applications. Lessons are delivered online or in-person, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends, making it easy to fit learning into busy timetables.
