I’m Amit Chitnis, a graduate of Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and a tutor based in Pune. I help primary and secondary school students learn mathematics, computing, algebra and arithmetic. My Teaching Approach
I’m Amit Chitnis, a graduate of Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and a tutor in Pune. I teach mathematics, computing, algebra and arithmetic to primary and secondary school students. My aim is to make each subject clear, engaging and useful.
Teaching methods
I explain ideas step by step, using simple examples and connecting concepts to everyday life. I encourage students to ask questions, practise problems, and explain their thinking so I can spot where they need support.
A typical class
We begin by reviewing the topic and checking what the student already understands. Then I explain a new concept, work through examples together, and give the student guided practice. We finish by reviewing key points and identifying what to practise next.
What makes my classes distinctive
I adapt the pace and explanations to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong foundations, confidence, and problem-solving skills; not just memorising formulas or procedures.
